So - I am back in the country now. Jamaica was great. I had the opportunity to share a little bit at church on Sunday after I got back. I shared with my pastor after the service that I really have a hard time with summing up things like that in a short period of time. It's hard for me to sum up the encouragement that God gave me from the trip. I would say more, but it's hard to sum up, especially in a written blog because I fear that will miss something. I would be more than happy to talk about it with anyone who would want to, so I'll leave it up to you if you wanna talk about it, get up with me somehow and we'll talk.
When I shared with my pastor my difficulty at summing things like this up I was reminded of the end of the book of John when he closes out his book.
"Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." - John 21:25
How awesome is our Savior!? I will venture to say that more books have been written about (in some way, shape or form) the risen Christ than any other person in the rest of the world. I also believe that it will continue to be that way. The world CANNOT contain the greatness of my Savior. His beauty and goodness CANNOT be summed up in books. He is beyond words. I am so encouraged with the truth of the Gospel right now...I can only hope that you are as well. My prayer for those of you that read this will center everything in your lives around the truth of the Gospel and that Christ is risen indeed.
